School Theme - CCEE

The challenge for the CCEE stampers this week was to use a school theme.    I colored this Squigglefly Shy Bear image and had no idea where I was going next with my card.  I grabbed my scrap bags and started digging for paper, this is what I came up with.  I know you are probably wondering how I ever passed Home Economics with this sewing.   Actually I am wondering that too.  ~grin~   Believe it or not, I actually made myself dresses in Home Ec and not one of them fell off of me due to defective sewing like the sewing that is displayed here.  What do you think of my Faux tag?  I thought it was nice for something different.    I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Shy Bear - Just a note card.   We would love for you to play  along with our challenge and don't forget to take a peek at what the team members have made for this challenge over at  CCEE Stampers Blog.

Thanks, for taking a look today.

Chardonnay Pig - Squigglefly

Here is a cute Squigglefly image by Suzanne Urban, "This little piggy had Chardonnay".  Don't you just love her choice of jammers?  LOL  I think she had just one too many glasses of Chardonnay before bed time, her face looks a little flushed.  I am entering this card in the Outlawz  CAS challenge, for today.  We were suppose to put an animal on our cards and keep it CAS style.

Thanks for coming by today.  Hope you come back again soon.

Taking Good Notes Is Important

The CAS challenge on SCS this week is to make a card that is related to back to school.
I thought  this Squigglefly  image "Shy Bear-Just a Note" was perfect for this challenge.  Shy Bear is taking good notes so he will know all the answers on his test.  I did a little doodling around my image, not sure that was a good move, but it is there.

Thanks for stopping by.

Animal Print Santa Paws

The challenge from Rhonda's Rowdy Rascal's over at Squigglefly is to to a technique.   It can old, new, favorite or any that you like. I chose this Christmas Beagle by Marla Shega, I have always loved this sweet little face.   I saw animal print paper, envelopes and stickers at HL last week.  I paper pieced the present and on the pompom  of Santa Paw's hat, I used a bauble sticker for the pom pom.
You can find this and other cute images at the Squigglefly store.

This is also for the CCEE Stampers challenge this week.  We were challenged to do some paper piecing.  Be sure and stop by the CCEE Stampers blog and see what the other  team members have prepared for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you enjoy seeing this cook little puppy.

Beautiful MFP Color Challenge

The challenge over at Mark's Finest Paper Friends of Speedy TV  is to make a card using pink, light green with either cream or gray.  The stamp I used is from MFP, Country Christmas.   I used Basic Gray paper from Stampin Up, but it looks black in this picture, the designer paper My Mind's Eye and Crate Paper.  I am in love with this color combo, I really like it.

Thanks, for stopping in today to take a look at my card.

3 layer Dip at Squigglefly

Over at Squigglefly this week Holly's Hobbist's have challenged that we make a 3 layer dip card.
You can put 3 or more layers on your card.  I chose to use this image "Clucky" by Mike Eustis.   I love this image, not only is it cute, it is really fast to color and you can make a cute card in no time.  I wanted to do some chicken tracks around my image to give it some character.  I used K & C papers, a embellishment from my friend, Mudder, and I colored with copics.

I hope you will join us over at the Squigglefly blog for our challenge.  You do not have to use a Squigglefly image, but we would love it if you did.  We have freebies over at the Squigglefly store
or you can look through the images and pick your own.   You could win a free digi if you play the challenge.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Speedy TV Tutorial

Tammylee Newberry did a Speedy TV Tutorial on vellum stamping.  I did this technique a long time ago and had actually forgot about it.   I used a frosted vellum  for my Mark's Finest Paper barn.   I think this is my favorite MFP stamp.   This is a quick and easy technique, you can see the tutorial on mfpspeedytv.

Thanks  for stopping by today.

Shaped Card

Lois gave the CCEE Stampers a challenge this week to make a shaped card.
I like the round scalloped cards so here is mine.   I needed a birthday card so I chose to use
a Stampin Up set that is new in this catalog, "Your Amazing".  I thought the Graphic 45
paper was a perfect choice for this.  Why don't you stop by the  CCEE Stampers blog and check out our challenge.  We would love for you to join us.

Thanks, for stopping by.

TSC, Christmas card -swap card

Good morning, I hope you all are having a lovely Wednesday morning.  I have one cup of coffee down and ready for a refill, so mine is good.

This is a card I made for our Twisted Sister challenge this week.  Tater gave the challenge, she wanted us to make a ocean card and one stipulation was no pink.   Tate hates pink, I love pink so I am always giving her a hard time about the pink.  I finally named the pinks I use Tater pink and I tell her that is different than regular pink.  I wasn't thinking or I would have put three pink boats on here.  ~grin~  I have fun with the banter with Tater about pink.  She will be thrilled that she does not have to wear her anti pink goggles to look at this one.  I am not sure if these boats are big enough to be in the huge ocean, but that is the good thing about making cards, it can be anything we want it to be.

Challenges:

Party Time Tuesday's Challenge: By the sea.

Here is a card that I made for a monthly card swap with my stamping friends.  We were to make a punch card.  It was really easy to make.  On this card the ornaments are popped up, but I made several that were not and I think I like them just as well.   At least without the pop ups, it could be mailed with no extra postage.  As much as we stampers have to put extra postage on our hand made cards, one would not think the Postal Service would be thriving, but according to the news, they are not.

A Rose is a Rose

I have my little Bella here with me today.  I have a friend that calls her my Mini Me.
It is always a treat to have her here.  School will start before long and that won't happen much.
I wanted to be able to spend some time with her so I made a quick card for Mark's Finest Paper Sketch challenge with a twist.  I sponged my dp and my paper around my stamped image to give it a little of a vintage feel.   I got my trusty old fork out of the drawer and made my fork bow.   The image was colored with copics.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you are having a wonderful day whereever you are today.

Decorate with a Doily

Angie over at has Paper Cupcakes challenged us to make a card and to decorate with a doily.  Now that is my kind of challenge, I love doilies.    I stamped with  a Stampin' Up stamp called,  "Hello Doily".   I stamped with Versa Mark on white card stock and used white embossing powder.  I cut out the doily and attached my dogwood cupcake, which can be found with the Paper Cupcakes link.  I paper pieced my ribbon, added leaves, rolled roses and added decorative corners  to finish up my project. Now if you would like to go over to   There's Magic in the Air and take a look at the other fabulous cards my team mates have made, here is the link for that.    We would love for you to join us for our challenge and see what you do with your beautiful doilies.  You do not have to use a Paper Cupcakes image for this challenge, but your chances of winning is greater, as your name is put in the drawing an extra time.  If you would like to purchase a image from Paper Cupcakes, Nina  usually always has a special on our There's Magic in the Air blog or you can go to the Paper Cupcakes store and choose your own image.

Thanks for stopping in to view the Paper Cupcake challenge.

NOTE:
The challenge blog may not be posted at the regular time this evening as Nina has been without power since 6 A. M.  Sunday morning.   She will get the blog up as soon as the power is restored.

You Know You Are Old When?

The Squigglefly blog Challenge for this week is given by Rhonda's Rowdy Rascal.  I know it is hard to believe that I am a Rowdy Rascal.  :)  I think my card will attest to that.  ~Grin~  The challenge is to use black, gray and white on  your card.   I decided to add some lime green to mine. I love this Squigglefly image "Did you say Facelift?" by Lynne Stansbery.   I added a black rose, but I am not sure you can tell it is a rose in this picture.

Well, I couldn't leave  you hanging wondering what the inside said, so here it is.
What do you think?    I hope this card made you giggle a little today.

Now go on over to the Squigglefly blog and upload your card for this challenge and you might win a digi.  They have several new digi's in the  Squigglefly store, check them out and see what you one  you might pick if you win.

Speak to Me-Squigglefly

This squigglefly week's challenge is very simple.  Just add a saying to your card.  This can be in addition to your image or instead of your image.  You can use an image that comes with a saying or create your own saying, add a stamped saying, a computer generated saying, a sticker saying, a handwritten saying, a vellum saying or any embellishment type of saying.
For my image, I chose the newly released Rags and Ted's bench by Diane Carubia.  Aren't they just as cute as can be.  I used a SU sentiment.  I thought this would be a great card for an Anniversary.

We would love to have you come on over to squigglefly and join us for the challenge this week.
You can use Mr. Linky to link your card.  If you are uploading to another gallery the key words are SFC3012.  I hope you enter your card and just maybe you might be the lucky winner this week for a free Squigglefly image.

Thanks, so much, for stopping in to see my card today.
