CCEE -Fairy challenge

The challenge over at the CCEE Stampers is to make a card with a fairy on it.   I did not have an a fairy image so I used a fairy silhouette.    I always like to put silhouettes with a white/black or a pink/black combo.  I used paper scraps, a embossing folder, button, gems and ribbon.   I do hope you will join us over at the CCEE stampers for our challenge.  Thanks, for stopping in today.

Sock Monkey and Circles

I started coloring Bugaboo sock monkey's yesterday and couldn't quit.  Now I have a few images colored and waiting to go on cards.  The Technique  challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers today is to use circles.  I used a circle nestie to cut out my sock monkey.  I decided to cut out some buttons to carry on the circle theme.   I think this would make a perfect card for my grand-baby that will be born this week.  They have decorated the room with monkeys.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Mr. Socks, Rides Again, saq

The Twisted Sister Challenge this week is to make a card for a child or a card with a child on it.
Either way I have it covered because this sock monkey thinks he is a child.    The image is a digi from Bugaboo.  I went there to get one digi and guess what?  Yes, I ended up with 3 sock monkey digi's.
I have a friend who loves sock monkeys so she will be thrilled to see the cards made with them.

Thanks, for stopping by today,

Speedy Fox and Friends - My State

The Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge for today is to make a card with something about your state on it.   I am from Illinois.  Most people think of West Virginia and Kentucky as coal mining states, but in my little corner of Illinois we have several coal mines.  They ship it out by train. You can't see it, but  on this train from the Mark's Finest Paper Train stamp set, it does say coal on the part of the train I colored red.  How about playing along with us this week and telling us something about your corner (state) of the world.   Be sure and check out the other team members cards over at Speedy Fox to see what their state is known for.

Here we are at day 4 of Mark's Finest Paper Blog Hop.   I really like this set,  it was so much fun to play with.   The first card I paired the  MFP set Flamingo's on Vacation.  The second card I stamped on a piece of Paper Studio paper and added a lace border.  That is what I call an easy peasy card.   The last card was in my mind a little different than this.  Ever had that happen?  I visualized it with real lip prints, but my lip blots didn't look so hot so I had to use some lips that were cut out and then crimped to try to give it the look of the natural creases in the lips.  I had one I sponged to make it look old, but it did not photograph very good so I went back to no sponging.   Can you tell I really like this set?   Surely it doesn't show. Be sure and hop along to everyone's blog today, leave them a comment to be entered in the drawing to win the free set.  Today is the final day of the hop, I hope you enjoyed it.  Good luck on winning a free stamp set.

Speedy Fox and Friends - Pink, brown and white

Here it is, another Speedy Fox and Friends challenge.  We are making pink, brown and white cards.
I used two of Mark's Finest Paper sets on my card.   I used Sand Dollar mini and Silly Shells.  I didn't plan my card with the stamp set that Mark's is giving away this week, but I when I put my card up for the blog, I noticed that Silly Shells is the free set that someone who enters the challenge this week, will win.

I am so ready for spring, but probably not as much as the people on the east coast who had huge amounts of snow dumped on them.  I think that warm weather is on my mind more than I think since I have made two cards the last week that has to do with the ocean.  Maybe, just maybe it is my sub conscience telling me it is time for me to take a little vacation.    That's right, to the beach.   I know when my sister sees this post she will say I just told you to come and visit me.   She was here this week from California and just returned home on Thursday.

Thanks, for stopping by today.   See you soon.

CCEE1307 - Flat Box Treat Box

The challenge over at the CCEE Stampers is to make a flat box treat box.   I have to tell you I am horrible at figuring these things out, but Beate over at Splitcoast Stampers has a great video tutorial on making this box.   I have never liked making boxes, but this one was fun, maybe because there was a lot of room to decorate it.  The stamp set I used is by Mark's Finest Paper called Lots of Luck.  It is a new release and will be in the Mark's Finest Paper store next week.

Please join us for our challenge, we would love to see the boxes you make.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Sweets to the Sweet - Squigglefly recipe

The Squigglefly challenge for this week is to use a recipe  consisting of  a circle, a button and a flower.    I forgot the flower so I had to go back and add one.   I am terrible about leaving things out and not realizing it until the card is done.  I made two circles and only used part of them so I hope that qualifies for the using a circle.   I chose to use this sweet  Squigglefly image called "Sweet to the sweet" by Lynne Stansbery.    Isn't the look on her face cute?   It is like she is thinking I can't wait until they finish singing Happy Birthday so I can eat this yummy cupcake.  Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals would love for you to come over to the blog and join us for the challenge.  If you haven't been to the Squigglefly store today, you might want to go and check out the fabulous new images.
