Squigglefly Christmas card challenge

Today the Squigglefly challenge is to make a Christmas card.  I chose this image by Inger Harding
called Old Fashioned Skates.   It won't be long we will be getting our Christmas cards ready to mail so I hope you will come and join us so you have one more card for your stash.

Squigglefly will have two new artists that will be added in October.  They are Carmen and Graham Gamble, a husband and wife team.  I can't wait to see their images.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Speedy Fox - Back to School

It is time for another Speedy Fox and Friends challenge.  We have been challenged to make a back to school card.  School time means the students must be ready for the reddin', ritin', and ritmatic'.  Right? We all know that those teachers have the blackboards scrubbed and ready write on.  Now the students have to bring their nice teacher an apple to make up for anything bad they might do on this day as well as have their school accessories ready to use.   Do you see that eraser in the top corner?   Don't repeat this, but I think my mom must have had to buy these by the case with all the mistakes I made.  ~grin~
I thought this idea of the blackboard was a great idea.  I can't claim credit for it as  I saw one my Stampin' Up demo made.  The stamps I used today are Mark's Finest Paper "Lesson Learned".

The eraser, scissors and pencil are not stamped images, they are clip art.

Come on down to the Speedy Fox blog and join us for our challenge.  Thanks, for dropping by to visit today.

CCEE Stampers Challenge - Fruit

The CCEE Stamper's Challenge for this week is to make a card with fruit on it and if we use apples, for Johnny Appleseed Day,  we get extra credit.  I would love to say this card has apples, but it doesn't.  I suppose I will get no extra credit this week.  ~grin~  I did, however, have the perfect opportunity to use the Graphic 45 paper with fruit on the paper.  The stamp I used is by Mark's Finest Paper - Bring on the Sun.

Thanks, for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for this challenge.

Inspiration Challenge Cupcakes - There is a shoe in my cupcake

Today over at Speedy TV, the Inspiration challenge is all about cupcakes.  We have some cute cupcake pictures for the inspiration.  It looks like I was in the mood for dots, doesn't it?  When you look at the pictures below, you will see why there is a shoe in the cupcake.  For the shoe, I used Mark's Finest paper stamps called "you've got style".  I added some dots on the shoe to make it go with my dot theme. The cupcake is a Mark's Finest Paper stamp "Celebrate Big".    The icing on the cupcake is sculpting paste with a drop of reinker in it.

Here are the Inspiration pictures for this week:

Thanks, for stopping by today.  I hope to see you over at Speedy TV joining us for the challenge.

CCEE Stampers - One Layer

The challenge for the CCEE Stampers today is to make a one layer card.   I absolutely love this
Mark's Finest Paper stamp set US Heroes.   Today I wanted to do something different with it so I turned it into a Christmas card.  I started out doing the masking tape magic technique by rubbing masking tape over the stamp pad and then rubbed the tape on the card to make the stripes.  I inked my stamp with a marker instead of a pad so I could leave the USA off of the stamp and then stamp in the peace sentiment.  I also used  the Mark's Finest Paper stamps "Christmas Cardinal" and "Presents".    So what do you think of this Heroes stamp set being used on a Christmas card?

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Squigglefly Challenge - Down on the Farm

The challenge over at the Squigglefly blog is to make a card that pertains to down on the farm.  I chose to use the  Squigglefly Llama Mama image by Lynne Stansbery.     Is this not the cutest face?   My husband tells me the Llama is not a farm animal, but according to the U.S. Agriculture Association, it is.  Any way,  I love this image and I am calling it a farm animal.  ~grin~   Be sure and come on over to the blog and join us for this challenge.

Speedy Fox #177 - Letter G

The Speedy Fox and Friends challenge today is to make a card that relates to the letter G.
Can you guess what word that starts with a G that I chose to use?   Your exactly right - Grunge.
G is for Grunge.  Now don't ask me why Grunge came to my mind because I do not do Grunge well.
It took me forever to figure out what I was going to do with my card for a Grungy look.   I decided to use the Mark's Finest Paper stamp set called Train Talk. I used drywall tape and sponged over it with navy ink, pumpkin pie and vintage photo inks.  I had a piece of burlap on my craft table from a card I had made the week before.  I decided it had the same pattern as the tape so I thought it would be good to add it to my card.  Then it needed something else to make it complete so out came the buttons from my button tin.  I hope you enjoyed seeing the card, I enjoyed doing it once I figured out how to grunge up my card.  Come on down to the Mark's Finest Paper Blog, take a look at the other team members cards and join us for this challenge.  There is always a prize.

CCEE Stampers #1337- Fancy Fold Challenge

Lois over at the CCEE Stampers Challenge blog has challenged us to make a fancy fold card.  My card is a double accordion gate fold card.   I love this new Mark's Finest Paper mini set "Natures Brushstrokes"  that is debuting in the Store this week.  I thought this image looked so much like this MME paper so I chose to put them together.  The image on the inside of the card was stamped off to make it lighter so the greeting would show through.  The greeting is a Mark's Finest Paper stamp and it is from the stamp set called "Daffodil Greetings".

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you over at the CCEE Stampers blog to join in our challenge.

Speedy Fox - Mask It

This week over at Speedy Fox and Friends, the challenge is to mask it.    I decided to do something a little different.  Instead of masking the image,  I masked the card.   I sectioned it off with tape, stamped the images then stippled with distress inks.  I didn't like the monochromatic colors, at first, but it grew on me.   The Mark's Finest Paper stamps that I used are "Mountain Selections" and "In Tents".
Please join us for the challenge today and show us your masking skills.

Thanks, for coming by today.

Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge

This month over at the Speedy TV Inspiration challenge we are using fun foods to inspire our
card making.   The pictures we have this week are really cute and fun.  For those of you with little children, you might find something cute and nutritious to make for them.   I chose the puppy inspiration piece.  I used the Mark's Finest Paper Fantastic Dogs stamp set.  I used a circle punch to make a template to use to daub the inked circles.  I had forgot all about this ribbon, but it sure did match the dots on my card.

Here are the pictures that we are using this week for inspiration:

I hope you will join us for the challenge this week.

Thanks, for stopping by.
