Bird Crazy Cheerleader

I love the TH Bird Crazy Stamps and have not had a chance to use them much.  I have a friend who will be working hard to get better by doing therapy this month.  I wanted this little bird to be her cheerleader.

I hope you are having a good weekend.

QKR Stampede - Down On The Farm

Happy Friday, everyone.  I know this is the day that some of you have been waiting for because you will have two days off from work.

As you know,  Friday starts a new challenge over at the QKR Stampede blog.  The challenge theme this week is "Down On The Farm".   I chose to use the image Whistling Cow - #13911 for my card.  I used copic markers to color "Clara" the cow.  I sponged in the grass and the sky.

I hope you will be able to join us for our new challenge.  We always love seeing your cards.

Have a terrific weekend and stay safe.

Here Kitty, Kitty

Hi, everyone.  I hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend.   In my little corner of the world, it is almost too hot to be doing anything fun.  For the past couple weeks, it has been in the upper 90's to 100 degrees.  Needless to say,  I am staying inside today.

Here is a card I made with a cute little Kitten digital stamp by mhK Designs.  I  love the kitten and the sentiments are so cute.

I made this for the Inspiration challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers and I am also going to enter it in a challenge at mhK Designs.

Thanks, so much for stopping by to take a look at my blog today.

MIX Challenge Card

I made the background a while back, I kinda forgot what products were used.    I will tell you what I think I used. :) I sponged on distress inks and added a gold spray on top if it. The MIX challenge for today was to do faux gold leaf technique.

Here are the steps to the Gold Leaf technique.   I took Aluminum foil and wadded it up.  Next I smeared Versmark over it.  I sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder over it and heated it with a heat gun.
I cut the aluminum foil and trimmed it to fit behind the mosaic heart

Thanks for taking a look at my card. I hope I have inspired you to do this technique.

Up, Up and Away - QKR Challenge

The challenge over at the QKR Stampede blog is to use the theme of Up, Up and Away.  I used the
QKR image Baseball Boy and the Eureka image Baseball Balloon.  My baseball boy is on his way to play a big game and he is dreaming how the ball is going to go Up, Up and Away out of the park on his first hit.    Maybe he is just a dreamer and then again, maybe he will make it happen.  ~smile~

Go over to the QKR blog and check out the other team mates cards.  These ladies are very talented.  I hope you will get started on your card for the challenge and upload it for us to see.

I can't believe it is Friday.   This week went so quick.  Have a good weekend.

I have Blog Candy!!!

Hi Everyone!   I have some blog candy to give away.  Here are two cute MFP Stamp Shop stamp sets.

All you have to do to be eligible for it is to sign up to be a blog follower.  In order to have a drawing,  I will need to have 5 new followers.   I will draw on July 31st.   If there are not 5 new followers, we may have to extend the time.  Please leave me a comment and let me know when you sign up.

ThankYou,  for stopping by today and good luck in the drawing.

The Sky Is The Limit

The Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to put stripes on our cards.  I used a Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder to get my stripes.  The I used the SU stamp set called "The Sky Is The Limit".  I have had this set for awhile,  but this is the first time it has seen ink.  I used a cloud template and bliss blue ink to create the clouds.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Bandit At The Wheel

I made this card for the sketch challenge at Splitcoast today.  I sure wish I had a pink little bug like this one.

This is a digi I found on Etsy.  I do not remember the name of the shop where I purchased it.  When I got this image I had a white boxer that looks like the one driving.  The little dog in the back is a Frenchie.   I had no idea at that time that I would get a Frenchy 10 years later.  I say he is my mini boxer.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Crazy Bird Selfie

I had fun playing the Technique Lover's Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.    I didn't get to play yesterday so I woke up this morning thinking about the selfie challenge.  I remember seeing a sign that said, "House work makes you ugly".  I decided it wasn't worth the chance and made this card instead.  ~grin~

I decided to give my crazy bird ink for the very first time and take him to the state fair.  He had to ride the Farris Wheel all by him self.  He is wishing one of his bird brain friends were at the fair to ride with him.

I also used the Stampin' Up set "Feeling Sentimental".

QKR ~ At Sea

Hi Crafting Friends.   It is time for another QKR Stampede challenge.  This week the theme is at sea.   Nautical is one of my favorite types of cards to make.  I thought this Manatee was pretty cute.  The QKR image is called " Sailor" and it is #6701 in the QKR store.

I added netting, cheesecloth and seaweed (Spanish Moss)  around the porthole.  The white piece of cardstock is embossed with anchors, although it does not show up well in the photo.

I hope you will come over to the blog and join us for the challenge and to see the other team mates cards.  These gals are very creative.

Do you all have a big weekend planned?  We will hopefully be racing unless we get rained out.  We have had a lot of rain lately so I won't be surprised if there is a rain out.  Whatever you decide to do,  I hope you have fun and stay safe.

Thank you, for coming over to view my blog today.

P.S.   I have more blog candy coming soon.  Stay tuned for more information.

MHK - Open Bloom

Hello, Crafters, hope your week is going well.  So far, my week has been fun.  I have spent a lot of time in my craft room instead of doing the dreaded cleaning.  I bet you know all about that.   ~grin~
I am going to get busy after I do this post while my boxer is at the groomer.  The vaccum seems to make him nervous now that he is older.  It also makes me nervous because I know that I am the one who will be using it.  :)

Okay, getting back to my card, I used a MHK Digital image called "Open Bloom".    I really like this image and it was easy to color.  I have been admiring the stamps by MHK, but this is my first image.
The images grabbed my attention back in May or April.  I stumbled onto a Easter card made with their "Bunny Love" set. The card was adorable so I started following the MHK blog.

Thank you, for stopping by today.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

MHK Blog - Anything goes with a MHK image
Crazy 4 Challenges - Encouragement
Great Impressions blog - Anything goes

QKR Transportation and F4A Recycling

Hi, first off, I want to apologize for not posting  for the past week.    I had to do some upgrades on my computer and it sure has had me in a tizzy.  My photo program changed and I have it figured out.  I use Gimp to put on my watermark and to resize my cards, but Gimp was not working with the new upgrade.  My son spent a lot of time getting it to work for me.  I am thankful he knows how to do all the things that my computer needs.  Anyway, figuring out all the changes sure ate up a lot of my creating time.

I have also had my three year old grandson a lot the last week and I have had a blast with him.   He is always so funny with the way he says things.  He has a great sense of humor and loves to tease.  I have no idea who he gets that from.  ~smile~

Okay, back to the card I made for today - it is for the QKR Stampede Blog challenge for this week.   The challenge is to make a card showing a form of transportation.   I used the QKR image
Old car #20205.    The image was colored with copics.

This card is also for the Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast.  I  am hosting it this week and I have challenged for everyone to make a card with something recycled on it.   A friend and I ate at a local pizzeria a couple of months ago.  We were given the neatest place mats.  My old car image is sitting on a portion of that place mat.  Actually there is a picture of a car on the mat and I used pop dots and popped my car up over the other car.   I knew I would find a use for this place mat sooner or later.

Be sure and join the QKR Stampede team for the transportation challenge.

Thanks, for stopping by and have a good weekend.
